“ALLEGORICAL ARTIST” JAMES N. MUIR

Read on…

Allegorical Art is a term Muir uses to describe his art as being filled with symbolic meaning. Bridging the centuries from his historical military subjects to today’s social, political and spiritual commentary, his sculptures speak eloquently of Duty, Honor, Courage, and Justice, but above all, of Truth and the ultimate triumph of the Human Spirit. He has built upon the recognition gained initially as an historical military sculptor to create an ever-expanding array of artistic commentary exemplifying the highest qualities of mankind.

Our allegories provoke thought, stir emotions, and spark conversations, creating a profound connection with the viewer.

James Muir offers personalized sculpting services, turning your visions and stories into bespoke bronze allegories that resonate with your soul.

Client Testimonials

The More and more recognition that the Muir talent occurs makes Kelly and I feel special because we recognized a unique talent and inspiration when we first laid eyes on his work. As we looked at the bronzes for the first time earlier in his career (and our collecting), it was like receiving a messenger delivering valued truths. Some seekers still recognize truth and when it is found as in James’ work, it can stop us on our hurried path. Here in cast bronze wrought by human hands that somehow makes us recall things not quite lost; memories of a time when the difference between good and evil was clearly know, ancient truths discovered and new hopes codified in the documents of a new and free nation, herculean acts and unselfish sacrifices on the battlefields of war and of everyday life, beauty not perverted and love that endures. We appreciate the new lanterns that James places on the path…Paul and Kelly Ruske

I would like to share my reaction to James’ sculptures, and impact of his recent book Lanterns Along The Path has had on me…. First, I was overwhelmed by the creativity, beauty, passion and spirituality displayed in the photographs of James’ work. As an art book it captures the essence of the artist and his art; as symbolism it reaches us with very basic truths; and as personal story and history it provides a light to the love, hope and promise in all of us. This is a book equal to the beauty of its art. It is appropriate that our Barnes & Noble New York Headquarters has made the decision to offer this book nationally arry Siegel Barnes & Noble/Scottsdale, Az June 30, 2005
